Rock that Sock!
Hi bandwagon, did you miss me? I finally got on the Socks that Rock bandwagon, with a single skein of an irresistable orange sock yarn.
I got this at Churchmouse Yarns and Teas on Bainbridge Island - it was either that or go to Tricoter. I kind of want to go to Tricoter sometime, just so I can have a "Guess what the b$#chy lady at Tricoter said to me!" story of my very own. But anyway, Churchmouse was the destination, and I got me some STR and friendly service to boot. They have the most beautiful sample pieces at Churchmouse - I fell in love with an eggplant alpaca poncho. A poncho, for God's sake! I think they must pump opiates through the air ducts or something. But Lord help me, this was a poncho to remember. I stroked it for a full five minutes. So I left with the STR and some fabulous razzymelon silk yarn for a beaded scarf.
It's certainly worth the ferry ride out to Churchmouse - they have lots of yarns I've never seen elsewhere, and beautiful colorways. And very very little silly yarn. I can respect that.
