Fairly fair isle
I was immediately attracted to the Equinox Yoke Pullover featured on the cover of Fall 2006 IWK, but I sort of forgot about it until I saw someone wearing one a few days ago. Wowee! That is one cute sweater. I've become a little bored with lace and cables, so maybe it's time for another foray into fair isle. After all, my first fair isle project introduced me to the wonders of continental knitting, and I haven't looked back since.
So I'm not shelling out big bucks for the Classic Elite Inca Alpaca, but I think the Elann Highland Wool would be a good substitution (and cost 75% less). It's available in tons of colors, but I'm not sure how to pick a fair isle palette. I want something wearable, not too wacky. Here's one candidate palette - the center color would be the main color. Any thoughts?
